And That Was That
A girl and a boy on a rooftop patio under heavy rainfall. The boy holds a umbrella over them and they drink gin & tonics while the patio empties.
A girl and a boy undress each other for the first time.
A girl and a boy at movies, her head resting on his shoulder.
A girl and a boy sit at a bar, hunched over hot ciders with brandy, hands in hands as though conducting a seance.
A girl and a boy watch a possum trundle down their street. They walk alongside it and try to ask it questions.
A girl and a boy talk late late into the night, warm under a goosedown duvet.
A girl and a boy sit on a reservoir hill and watch the sunset vignette the antique telephone poles.
A girl and a boy drunk on sparkling wine.
A girl and a boy on a bus coming back from an airport.
A girl and a boy in each other’s arms. The boy lifts the girl and spins her around, knowing he probably won’t see her again.
Interesting ending but oh so true (at least if the location of the twirl was the local bus station in my case).
Ah well, coffee is there for me in the mornings… tasty coffee.
