My thesis will involve sandwiches.

Too bad the bread is made of concrete and the inside is polystyrene foam. Very inedible.

instead of a ‘faded yellow girl’s slip with lace edging,’ do you mean that the girl’s slip is a faded yellow? unless the girl is faded yellow, which could be an option.
